Holi at Hampi was nothing short of magical!
Our journey began on March 13, 2025, as we left Pune at 5 AM, reaching Hampi around 2 PM. Nestled in the heart of Karnataka, our destination was Nyoka Hampi, a serene resort amidst a lush mango orchard 🥭. We were warmly welcomed by Pranith Rao and the Bati Team, joining a vibrant mix of travelers from across India.
As the evening unfolded, we visited the Virupaksha Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site 🤩. The golden hues of sunset melting into a moonlit sky over the ancient temple added an ethereal charm to our first evening.
March 14 was a day of exploration and awe! We wandered through the architectural marvel that is Vijaya Vitthala Temple, home to the iconic Stone Chariot featured on the ₹50 note 🇮🇳. Later, we visited Lakshmi Narasimha Temple, captivated by the towering Narasimha statue and the sacred Shivlingam submerged in water. Our evening hike to Anjanadri Hills, the birthplace of Lord Hanuman, offered yet another spellbinding sunset. That night, back at Virupaksha Temple, we witnessed the symbolic burning of Kamadeva alongside Holika Dahan, setting the stage for Holi.
March 15 was pure joy! We welcomed Holi at Nyoka Resort with the Batians, drenching ourselves in color, laughter, and music. For the festive day, I chose to wear a green block-printed skirt paired with a vibrant magenta crop top and a traditional dupatta—a look that perfectly blended tradition with modern flair. Lightweight, flowy, and effortlessly elegant, it was ideal for the colorful chaos of Holi and the calm temple explorations that followed.
Post festivities at Virupaksha Temple, we hopped into a tuk-tuk and returned with colors on our faces and reels in our cameras—laughing and dancing with my girl gang, creating moments we’ll cherish forever! The day concluded with us marveling at the Elephant Stables, Stepped Tank, and Lotus Mahal, each echoing stories of a glorious past.
With hearts full of love and memories 🥰❤️💙💚💖, we bid farewell to new friends on March 16 and returned to Pune by 9 PM. This trip wasn’t just about Holi—it was an unforgettable blend of heritage, harmony, and happiness.
